COUNTRY AFFAIRS
'A great treat for readers who love their books jam-packed with sexy men and horses.' Bestselling author Fiona Walker
It’s time to get back in the saddle with the follow up to the deliciously naughty Stable Mates!

Swapping her spurs for stilettoes and becoming Lady of the Manor is not on loveable, but scatty, Lottie’s life plan. Nor does she have the faintest idea how to rescue it from rack and ruin.
But with footballer’s wife Sam on the case, determined to bring glamour to the manor, and fun-loving eventer Rory egging them on, nothing can possibly go wrong, can it?

Todd never forgave himself for abandoning Lottie on a Barcelona beach, but now he’s tracked her down and he’s ready to kiss and make up. With a roving eye and his roguish grin he soon has more than one girl in Tippermere going weak at the knees, but why is he really there?

With wedding plans going awry, unexpected pregnancies and relationships starting to look rocky, will Lottie ever be ready to accept her inheritance and help Tipping House Estate move into the 21st Century?

Praise for Stable Mates –

'A delightful romp peppered with humour, sadness, scandal and steamy sex.'

'...reminded me of Jilly Cooper whose books I grew up with. Stable Mates is up there with Riders and Rivals. If you loved these books then you will love this one'

'...the perfect mix of horsey shenanigans, Cheshire glamour and flirty fun.'

'...reminded me of the Tilly Bagshawe novels I love, with all the scandal and drama. I don’t think I’ve read another author who writes in that kind of style without finding negative comparisons but Zara Stoneley comes into her own'

'a really impressive read.'

'Fun, Frothy & a Good Weekend Read'

'An unexpected FUN read that should not be missed by anyone. I would say I laughed at almost every page! '

  GUEST POST

Girl Power!  Country Affairs

Tippermere just wouldn’t be the same without the girls, and one of the things I loved about writing this book was being able to develop the relationship between Lottie and her friends. I love all the characters in Country Affairs – but Elizabeth has been the surprise big hit, she’s a real character and I will miss her like mad when she goes.
So today I thought I’d share a bit more information about the girls that make things happen.

Charlotte ‘Lottie’ Brinkley – is disorganised but loveable, and in line to inherit the Tipping House Estate and become the next Lady Stanthorpe. She might not be known for her organisational skills, but she loves her animals, home and family and is determined to succeed. Everybody is rooting for her, and I have to admit I’d love to have her as a friend.

Victoria ‘Tiggy’ Stafford – is as friendly, untidy and eternally optimistic as her spaniels. Always keen to help, you can guarantee she will offer sensible advice and a hug, and nothing is more important in her life to her than Billy. Tiggy doesn’t play an enormous role in Country Affairs, but she does have the answer to one very important question.

Lady Elizabeth Stanthorpe – is a bit of a meddler and mischief maker, but in the nicest possible way. She loves her strong G&T’s and her dogs, and is infinitely fonder of her granddaughter (and next in line) than she shows. Elizabeth has good old-fashioned ‘backbone’, and without her Tippermere just wouldn’t be the place it is. Whenever something major happens in the village, there’s a good chance that she has had a hand in it. But there are some things, like love, that not even Elizabeth has the power to control, aren’t there?

Philippa ‘Pip’ Keelan – is trim, sophisticated and slightly scary, and a staunch supporter and ally of Lady Elizabeth. But under the tough exterior there’s a vulnerable side, and when she finally falls in love she lays herself open to the hurt she’s always done her best to avoid. Sometimes it’s easy to get so involved in trying to make yourself the woman you think your man wants, that you forget who you really are.

Amanda Stanthorpe – is elegant and understated, delicate and demure, in fact the type of woman that Lottie feels is much more suited to the role of Lady of the manor than she is. With an eye to detail she’s the steadiest and most restrained of Lottie’s friends, but is so gracious and lovely she’s impossible to dislike.

Sam Simcock – is a footballer’s wife and lover of dogs, diamonds and designer delights. She’d love to bring some glam to the manor, and her warm heart and generosity can make it very difficult to say no. But can Lottie redirect her enthusiasm towards a more fitting plan, or will Tipping House turn trendy and leave her ancestors turning in their graves?

As a team my girls are unstoppable – it’s just the men and the horses that threaten to turn the plans upside down!
